- Wikipedia: Live Art is a term used to describe all acts of performance undertaken by an artist as a work of art. The term came into usage in the United Kingdom in the middle of the 1980s to recognize both new and existing performance based work (such as Happenings) as a form of creative expression that is not only independent of the traditional visual art forms, but also of theater and dance.
