- Vuoteen 2001 saakka Suomessa Vakuutusyhtiö Sampo, on Sampo-konserniin kuuluva vakuutusyhtiö. If syntyi ruotsalaisen Skandian ja norjalaisen Storebrandin fuusioiduttua vahinkovakuutustoimintansa. Vuonna 2002 yhtiöön liitettiin suomalaisen Sammon vahinkovakuutus. Sampo-konserni osti Skandian ja Storebrandin osuudet If Vahinkovakuutusyhtiöstä vuonna 2004, mistä lähtien se on kuulunut Sampo-konserniin.
