- Projektiin osallistui seitsemän pohjoismaista organisaatiota, sitä rahoittivat EU, Länsstyrelsen Norrbotten ja Lapin liitto ja sen koordinaattori oli Ruotsista käsin toimiva Pohjoismainen geenivarakeskus (NordGen). Tutkimuskohteina olivat pohjoiset alkuperäiskarjarodut ja hankkeen tarkoituksena oli tuottaa tutkimustietoa sekä lisätä aiheen yleistä tunnettuutta tuottamalla tutkimusartikkeleita, pelisovellus ja museonäyttely.
