Scope note

  • A GAP JUNCTION alpha subunit containing four transmembrane domains expressed in the adipose cells and myocardium. Mutations in the human gene GJA4 are risk factors for ATHEROSCLEROSIS and MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION.
