- Återkommande sjukdomstillstånd med epileptiska anfall som uppkommer diffust och samtidigt i båda hjärnhalvorna. Denna typ klassificeras utifrån anfallets motoriska symtom (t ex konvulsiv, icke-konvulsiv, akinetisk, atonisk osv) eller utifrån etiologin (t ex idiopatisk, kryptogen eller symtomatisk).
