- Volymen av hoppackade röda blodkroppar i ett blodprov. Den mäts i en graderad centrifugtub eller i en automatisk blodcellsräknare, och är ett mått på erytrocytstatus vid sjukdom. Vid anemi, t ex, erhålls ett lågt värde, medan polycytemi ger ett högt värde.
