Användningsanmärkning
- En av de två ljusmottagande celltyperna i näthinnan hos ryggradsdjur. I tapparna finns fotopigmentet i inbuktningar i det yttre cellsegmentets membran. Tapparna är mindre ljuskänsliga än stavar, men de ger synförmåga med bättre rymd- och tidsskärpa, och sammansättningen av signaler från tappar med olika pigment tillåter färgseende.
