Användningsanmärkning
- Cytoplasmaproteiner som specifikt binder mineralkortikoider och förmedlar deras effekter på cellerna. Receptorn med ligand verkar inom cellkärnan för att utlösa transkription av specifika DNA-segmant. Mineralkortikoider uppkallades efter sin verkan på extracellulära elektrolytkoncentrationer. Det viktigaste exemplet är aldosteron.
