- Ett myelinprotein som utgör huvudbeståndsdelen av de lipoproteinkomplex som kan extraheras ur hjärnvävnad med organiska lösningsmedel. Det har studerats ingående pga sina ovanliga fysikaliska egenskaper. Proteinet förblir lösligt i kloroform även sedan i stort sett alla dess bundna lipider avlägsnats.
