Användningsanmärkning
- En peptid bestående av 22 aminosyror som huvudsakligen kommer från celler i kärlens endotel. Den finns även i hjärnan, de större endokrina körtlarna och andra vävnader. Peptiden är strukturellt homolog med natriuretisk förmaksfaktor. Den har kärlavslappnande verkan och är sålunda viktig för regleringen av kärlspänningen och blodflödet. Ett flertal former med hög molekylvikt med de 22 aminosyrorna har påvisats.
