Exopeptidaserna är underindelade i aminopeptidaser (EC 3.4.11), dipeptidaser (EC 3.4.13), dipeptidyl- och tripeptidylpeptidaser (EC 3.4.14), peptidyldipeptidaser (EC 3.4.15), karboxipeptidaser (EC 3.4.16-18) och omegapeptidaser (EC 3.4.19).
