Definition
- Viidestä sävelestä koostuvaan asteikkoon perustuva säveljärjestelmä, joka on yleinen eurooppalaisessa kansanmusiikissa, mutta myös monissa ei-eurooppalaisissa kulttuureissa ja mm. antiikin Kreikassa. Viisisäveljärjestelmät muodostuvat joko pelkistä kokosävelaskelista (antihemitoninen) tai myös puolisävelaskelista (hemitoninen).
