Inspire definition

  • The Generic Conceptual Model (GCM) for INSPIRE provides a framework within which harmonised data specifications for the spatial data themes listed in the Annexes of the INSPIRE Directive are developed.

Inspire note

  • The GCM is, strictly speaking, not an INSPIRE spatial data theme. It is provisionally included in the INSPIRE Theme Register, to provide context for cross-thematic application schemas and code lists that were defined during the development of the Annex I, II and III data specifications work.
